This page is a focused riyal-to-rupee tool: the mini converter below is pre-set to SAR → PKR. Type any amount and it converts instantly using the live rate. Below that you will find a quick table of common amounts, so you can eyeball a figure without typing anything.

Reference rate only — your bank or dealer will quote a slightly different buy/sell rate.
Understanding the rate you see
The rate shown here is a mid-market reference rate, pulled live from the frankfurter.app feed, which aggregates European Central Bank data. It is not the interbank rate and not the open-market rate you will see at a forex dealer in Pakistan. Banks and exchange companies add their own margin — the rate they buy at is typically a little lower and the rate they sell at a little higher than this mid-market number. For an actual transfer, always confirm the day's rate with your bank or dealer.
Tips for getting a fair rate
- Compare two sources. Check your bank's rate against one forex dealer before sending a large amount — the gap is often a rupee or more per unit.
- Watch the trend, not the tick. A single day's move means little; a week of steady drift tells you whether to send now or wait.
- Count the fees. A slightly better rate with a flat transfer fee can beat a worse rate with no fee on small amounts, and the reverse on large ones.

Is this the interbank or the open-market rate?
Neither, strictly speaking. The converter shows a mid-market reference rate from a live public feed. The interbank rate (banks trading with each other) and the open-market rate (forex dealers in Pakistan) both sit a little away from it, with the dealer's buy rate lower and sell rate higher. Use this page for estimates; confirm the executable rate with your bank or dealer before a transaction.
Why does my bank's riyal rate differ from this page?
Because banks add a margin to cover their cost and risk, and because retail rates update at different times of day than the reference feed. If your bank's rate is within a rupee or two per unit of the mid-market rate for a major currency like the riyal, that is normal pricing — if it is far off, it is worth comparing a second dealer.
How often does the rate update?
The feed refreshes on trading days, and this page fetches the latest published rate each time it loads — the update date is shown above the table. Currency markets move through the day, so treat any single number as a snapshot, not a promise.
