Compress Image to Exact Size

Job portal wants a photo under 200KB? Pick your target size and get a file that fits — to the kilobyte.

Drop an image here, or click to choose one PNG, JPG or WebP — stays on your device

Private by design: compression happens entirely on your device — your images are never uploaded anywhere.

How it works. The tool encodes your image at decreasing quality levels (a binary search between 5% and 95%) and picks the highest quality that still fits under your target. If even the lowest quality is too big, it shrinks the dimensions in small steps and tries again — so you always get a file at or under the size you asked for, at the best quality possible for that size.
Common targets. Online forms and portals in Pakistan commonly ask for photos under 20KB (NADRA-style uploads), 50–100KB (job applications), or 200KB (general uploads). Pick the preset that matches your form's rule.

Questions, answered

How do I compress an image to exactly 200KB?

Upload your image, pick the 200KB preset (or type any size), and hit Compress. The tool binary-searches JPEG/WebP quality — shrinking dimensions only if needed — until the file fits under your target.

Why JPG or WebP and not PNG?

PNG is lossless, so it can't be squeezed to an arbitrary small size. JPG and WebP are lossy formats built for exactly this: trading a little quality for a much smaller file.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device.

Will this work for online forms with a file-size limit?

Usually yes — pick the size the form asks for. Some portals also require specific dimensions or formats, so check the form's rules too.
