Open the MEPCO bill checker →How to check your MEPCO bill in 3 steps
- Find your 14-digit reference number on any old MEPCO bill — it is printed near the top. Digits only; if it ends in a letter like U or R, leave the letter off.
- Open the bill checker with MEPCO pre-selected and enter the number.
- Your official duplicate bill opens on the PITC portal (
bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill) with your number filled in — the same bill MEPCO issued, with the amount due and the due date.
Portal link pattern checked 20 Oct 2026. This page never sees your bill: your number goes straight from your browser to the official portal. Not affiliated with MEPCO.
Your MEPCO reference number
Every MEPCO consumer has one permanent 14-digit reference number. It never changes month to month, so once you have it from any old bill you can check every future bill with the same number. The checker can remember it in your own browser (on your device only) so next month is one tap.
If the portal reports “no record found”, count the digits against the old bill — a single missing or mistyped digit is the cause almost every time. The other common cause: this month’s bill simply has not been generated yet.
Which areas does MEPCO cover?
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) supplies electricity to Multan and south Punjab. Your bill header names your company — the reference number only works under the company that owns your meter, so a MEPCO number will not open under any other company’s portal.
Different electricity company?
Pick your company — each page pre-selects it in the checker. In Karachi? K-Electric runs its own system: use the main bill checker and choose K-Electric.

MEPCO bill — frequently asked questions
What is the MEPCO reference number?
It is the 14-digit number printed on every MEPCO electricity bill, usually near the top. Enter the digits only — if your bill shows a letter like U or R at the end, leave it off. The same number works every month; you can copy it from any old MEPCO bill.
Is this the official MEPCO bill?
Yes. The checker opens your duplicate bill on the PITC portal at bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill, which is the official billing system Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) uses. The bill you see — amount, due date, units consumed — comes straight from MEPCO’s own record. Portfoliogram is not affiliated with MEPCO; this page only sends you to the official portal.
The portal says “no record found” for my MEPCO bill — why?
Almost always one of three things: a digit is missing or mistyped (count all 14 against an old bill), this month’s bill has not been generated yet, or the number belongs to a different company — a MEPCO reference number only works under MEPCO. If you are in Karachi, you are on K-Electric, which runs a separate system and is not on the PITC portal.
Which areas does MEPCO cover?
Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) supplies electricity to Multan and south Punjab. If your bill header names a different company, use that company’s checker page instead — the reference number only works under the company that owns your meter.
Can I check my MEPCO bill without the reference number?
No — the portal needs the 14-digit reference number to pull up your record. It is printed on any old MEPCO bill. Once you have entered it in the checker, your browser can remember it on your own device, so next month is one tap.
